The Beginning
After having a conversation with friends who owned a gelateria in Urbino, Italy, Versace decided that he would travel to Miami to try his hand at building a brand that highlights the uniqueness and quality that makes gelato so special.
An entrepreneurial journey started in 2012 with only $133 in cash and an infectious enthusiasm and passion. Through commitment and focus on unparalleled quality and craftsmanship, Stefano versace Gelato has grown in a few short years to more than 20 shops throughout Florida.

The Evolution
During these past 7 years, Stefano and his dream team have always carried on with positivity, striving for excellence putting the customer at the center of every step forward and improvement.
It is in 2020, despite all its challenges, that Stefano Versace Gelato a company celebrates a great milestone. After months of meetings, conference calls and graphics mockups, we have officially evolved into something new: Konos – ‘gelato is happiness’.
This marks for the company the beginning of a new evolved mission, and the predominant element both in the logo and in all brand communication.

Gelato is a treasured part of traditional Italian culture, and here at Konos – gelato is happiness, we make ours fresh daily just like we do back in Italy. With painstaking focus on the details, Stefano Versace's award-winning gelato "Profumi di Sicilia'' recipe consists of a unique combination of delicious, high-quality ingredients such as fresh ricotta, cannolo, caramelized fruit, Bronte pistacchio (an original of Sicily and rated best in the world), shredded lemon and orange peel, caramel, chocolate grains and 30% organic almonds. All ingredients are completely natural and imported directly from Italy.

Our Gelatieri Culinary Expertise
At Konos – gelato is happiness, we have one secret that no other has – our People. We carefully hire each one of our "Gelatieri" and train them to offer an authentic Italian culinary experience in all of our stores. Our goal is to spread the traditions of Italian gelato to all American gelato lovers, captivating them with the purity and freshness of our product. An interesting fact is that Italian gelato, compared to American ice-cream and its composition, presents far fewer calories and fat without compromising quality and taste.
